Prof. Kimberly Prather named inaugural holder of the Distinguished Chair in Atmospheric Chemistry

Kimberly A. Prather, who is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at UC San Diego and at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, has been named the inaugural holder of the Distinguished Chair in Atmospheric Chemistry in the Division of Physical Sciences. Dr. Prather was recently elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Named 2009 Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, she also won the American Chemical Society 2010 Award for Creative Advances in Environmental Science and Technology and was elected 2010 American Geophysical Union Fellow for her eminence in earth and space sciences.
