Professor William Allison

Professor Emeritus William S. Allison passed away Saturday, July 30, following a long illness. He was an internationally renowned expert in the field of bioenergetics and was especially known for his work on the molecular machinery in cells that makes ATP. Recruited to UCSD in 1969, he continued to work long after retirement in 2003. He was a valued colleague and will be missed. In accordance with his wishes, arrangements will be private.
