Douglas Collins Selected as 2014 Inamori Fellow
Douglas Collins has been selected as one of three Inamori Fellows for 2014. The Inamori Fellowship Program at UC San Diego supports our best and brightest graduate students who will ensure the future of humanity through a balance of the scientific process and human spirit. This investment in our students is parallel to the Inamori Foundation's commitment to the Kyoto Prize that is given annually to those who have made significant contributions to the progress of science, the development of civilization, and the enrichment and elevation of the human spirit. Collins is a graduate student in the lab of Professor Kimberly Prather, Distinguished Chair in Atmospheric Chemistry, with appointments in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
