Cliff Kubiak Wins ACS Award in Organometallic Chemistry
The American Chemical Society (ACS) selected Clifford P. Kubiak, distinguished professor of chemistry and biochemistry at UC San Diego, as the 2018 recipient of its National Award in Organometallic Chemistry (“Award”). The Award, established in 1983 by the Dow Chemical Company Foundation, recognizes advancements having a major impact on research in organometallic chemistry. Professor Kubiak’s selection was based on his innovative research focused on chemically producing energy through artificial photosynthesis, catalysis and electrochemistry. Kubiak will be honored at an awards ceremony in Spring 2018 in conjunction with the 255th ACS National Meeting in New Orleans. Congratulations Professor Kubiak!
