Congratulations to Jesse Peltier on being selected as one of the 2020 Bouchet Scholars!

Named for the first African American doctoral recipient in the United States (in Physics from Yale University in 1876), the Bouchet Society recognizes outstanding scholarly achievement and promotes diversity and excellence in doctoral education and the professoriate. Five UC San Diego Bouchet Scholars were selected from among an outstanding group of nominees, all of whom demonstrated a commitment to the tenets of the society.
