Distinguished Professor Wolynes awarded Hirschfelder Prize in Theoretical Chemistry
Distinguished Professor Peter Wolynes has been awarded the 2009-10 Hirschfelder Prize in Theoretical Chemistry. This annual prize was established in 1991 and brings a cash award of $15,000. As part of this prestigious award, Professor Wolynes will give three scientific lectures at the University of Wisconsin, Madison this fall. A list of past winners, all well-known and including several who later won the Nobel Prize, is available online.
