Are you thinking about pursuing a career in the medical field? Please navigate this page for information and resources that may help you advance in your career.
Students are welcome to stop by walk-in hours to discuss their graduate school options and preparedness. We are happy to assist with general questions, but likely we will refer you to the Admissions website or department of the school(s) you are planning to apply to.
Our Department's graduate information is here. This is a good place to start if you want information on Admissions, tracks and the general structure of a Chemistry graduate program. Please be sure to check the guideline for your intended program (but we do always encourage students to apply to multiple programs!).
Visit the Career Center on Library Walk for more information on schools and entry requirements.
Some of our majors will prepare you to apply for medical school, but there are likely additional requirements you need to be aware of in order to apply. If you wish to further discuss your college career as a pre-med/pre-health student, visit Health Beat advising!
Navigate this page on the Career Center's Health Beat website in order to filter by intended profession. Be sure to pay attention to things like additional course requirements, exams and other preparation information. Many pre-health tracks have student organizations that you can join in order to network with other like minded students.
If you are interested in pursuing a career in the pharmacological industry, you might be interested in pursuing a degree in pharmacy school. Our Pharmacological Chemistry major is designed to provide you the tools and preparedness to excel in pharmacy school. If you wish to further discuss your college career as a pre-med/pre-health student, visit Health Beat advising or click here to view their Pre-Pharm information. Be sure to pay attention to things like additional course requirements, exams and other preparation information.
If you are a first year student, we invite you to apply to the 7-year B.S./Pharm D. program with Skaggs School of Pharmacy! Please reach out to one of our advisors who will be able to guide you through the process of applying into this accelerated program. The 7 Year Program information is housed here.
